The collection includes biographical information about Bailey, reprints, articles and speeches, material generated by Bailey's work on various committees and boards, societies and offices, and honors presented to Bailey. The bulk of the collection comprises papers from individuals, including R.A. Gortner, W.C. Coffey, G.S. Ford and many others. Also included are papers relating to Bailey's work with organizations, including the American Association of Cereal Chemists, the American Chemical Society, the American Institute of Baking, Iowa Bakers Short Course, the National Research Council, the USDA, the University Land Grant Centennial, the Wheat Research Institute, and papers from many other organizations.
